Paraskevi Paparseniou is a Professor of Civil and Copyright Law at the Law School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), Attorney-at-Law before the Supreme Court (Areios Pagos) and a member of the Athens Bar Association since 1990. She studied law at the Law School of the NKUA (1982-1988), she has received a Magister Legum Europae (MLE) of the University of Hannover, Faculty of Law (1990) and a PhD diploma of the Law School of the NKUA (1994).
She started her collaboration as attorney at the law firm of Professor of Law School (NKUA) Ioannkis K. Karakostas in 1992 and she continues to be active as an attorney for more than 30 years.
She deals with cases of civil and commercial law, fields in which she has a plethora of publications (books and articles) in Greece and in Europe as well. She has a vast experience in the judicial advocacy and in providing consultations and legal advice, having consulted and defended in the court rooms cases of many natural and legal persons nationally and internationally. From 2020 she is a member of the Legal Committee of the Bank of Greece.
She has stood member of many legislative committees, and recently as part of the legislative committee for the new law of sale of goods and the supply of digital content and digital services, and she is a member of the Central Codification Committee. She is also a member of the Civil Law Association, the Hellenic Association of Procedural Law and the Copyright Protection Association-Association Littéraire et Artistique Internationale (ALAI) Groupe Hellénique.
